As appointed by His Lordship Bishop Camillo Ballin, mccj, Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia and board member of the Northern Arabia Catholic Faith Services (NACFS), the construction of the first Cathedral in Bahrain is the NACFS’s first project and priority.
The new cathedral in Awali, Bahrain dedicated to Our Lady of Arabia will have a space for 2,000 attendees, underground parking for 480 cars, a state-of-the-art pastoral center, and a dormitory with over 20 beds to host people from all over the vicariate, especially those without places to practice their faith in their countries.
Our new cathedral will be a place of worship, not only for the faithful in Bahrain, but for the six parishes and over 100 underground communities in the vicariate of Northern Arabia.
Construction of the cathedral will begin in 2014 and may take 3 to 5 years to complete.
God has given us a great opportunity to put our Faith Into Action and to do something special for thousands of migrant workers, perhaps from your own country, to have a place to worship and serve.
Put YOUR Faith Into Action today and support our cause to build a beautiful new Catholic Cathedral in Northern Arabia through your prayers and donations.
Thank you and may God bless you!
